Overview

City Recruitment Group Executive are recruiting for a permanent Head of Talent to work for our amazing client who is massively expanding at the moment. They are looking for their first Talent hire to build their people team and take ownership over their recruitment efforts and talent processes. This role is broad and suits someone who loves to hire amazing people, develop critical company processes, and impact how the business grows. This is the ideal opportunity for those ready to take the next step in their career and gain incredible experience in a fast-paced start-up. This role reports directly to the CEO and is paying between £50-70k dependant on experience.

Your new Head of Talent role

  • Source candidates for all open positions in the business

  • Set up interview processes and choose ATS, creating best practices, and training the team

  • Use data to advise salary setting for roles

  • Coach and train interviewers and make interviewing better

  • Develop job adverts and specs, owning the advertising and iterations to find the right language and titles

  • Maintain strong candidate relationships through the process, advising and providing feedback on candidates and maintaining a positive candidate experience

  • Develop and manage onboarding and offboarding processes for employees

  • Advise leadership on compensation and hiring changes, forecasting hiring needs and ways to ensure our roles are competitive

  • Review incentives packages to keep our team retention high

  • Liaise with the legal team on any employment issues that arise

  • Help leadership define the structure of teams and the organisation as the business grows

What you'll need to succeed

  • Years of experience hiring for a range of roles

  • You have technical recruitment experience including sourcing, offering, negotiating packages, giving feedback, and interviewing

  • Have previously delivered talent projects in a scaling business

  • Have hired recruiters and managed a team

  • Have experience developing strong relationships with Hiring Managers and developing robust interview processes from scratch

  • Have experience scaling recruitment across the business

  • A love for being in high-performing team environments

  • An executor at heart, you love to take ownership of processes, promote your ideas, and build them according to your vision

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Can work independently and make decisions with little supervision

  • Are calm under pressure and can work in a dynamic start-up environment where processes have yet to be defined and developed

  • Able to lead in an ever-changing environment
